These terms explain the rules for using RealDom, the responsibilities of renters and landlords, and how our verified marketplace works.
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of RealDom, a marketplace that connects renters directly with verified landlords across Nigeria. By creating an account or using any part of the platform, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use RealDom.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement to use RealDom.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
RealDom is a technology platform that helps renters discover homes and communicate directly with landlords without agent fees. We verify landlords and listings to reduce fraud, but RealDom is not a party to any rental agreement, tenancy, or transaction reached between a renter and a landlord.
Any lease, payment of rent, caution fee, or move-in arrangement is a direct agreement between you and the landlord. RealDom does not own, manage, inspect, or guarantee any property listed on the platform.
Landlords may only publish listings after completing identity and ownership verification. By submitting a listing, you confirm you have the legal right to rent the property and that all details — price, costs, location, and photos — are accurate and current.
Verification reduces risk but does not replace your own judgment. Always inspect a property in person, confirm the landlord’s identity, and never pay for a home you have not seen or verified.
Certain features — such as a renter contact pass — may require payment. Paid features are processed by our third-party payment provider, and by purchasing you also agree to that provider’s terms.
Fees for optional platform features are separate from any rent or costs you pay a landlord directly. Unless stated otherwise or required by law, payments for digital access features are non-refundable once access has been granted.
You retain ownership of the content you submit, such as listing photos and descriptions. By posting content you grant RealDom a non-exclusive license to host and display it for the purpose of operating the platform.
You are solely responsible for the content you post and must not upload anything that is unlawful, misleading, or infringes someone else’s rights.
To keep RealDom safe and trustworthy, you agree not to:
RealDom is provided “as is” and “as available.” While we work hard to verify landlords and listings and to keep the platform reliable, we do not guarantee that every listing is accurate, that any property is available, or that any transaction will be completed to your satisfaction.
You use the platform, and enter into any rental arrangement, at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RealDom and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for any loss arising from a rental agreement, payment, or dispute between a renter and a landlord. Our total liability for any claim relating to the platform is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, for the feature in question.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, put other users at risk, or engage in fraud. You may stop using RealDom and request account deletion at any time.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will revise the date below and, where appropriate, notify you within the app. Continuing to use RealDom after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.
